As usual, I'm a little late in posting this. Last week, I took my first trip out of Taizhou! While I do like Taizhou, it was great to get out. I went to Shanghai for a night and a day. It was great, even though the weather was horrible. It was rainy and cold the whole time. So, I didn't get to do a whole lot of sightseeing.
I think one of the best things about the trip was having access to western food (the only western food we have in Taizhou is what you can get at McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and KFC). While in Shanghai, I enjoyed a delicious meal of french toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage! I also had an awesome burrito.
The strangest thing about being in Shanghai was seeing so many foreigners. If I see a foreigner in Taizhou, I probably know the person. I can go days without seeing any foreigners. In Shanghai, they were everywhere. It was weird to go into a bar and hear multiple people speaking English.
Anyways, here are a few pictures from my trip. They aren't that great because of the weather. I definitely plan on going back when it's nicer.
